Great aesthetics. I hope they continually offer more themes! I am amending my review to say I'll probably stick with Todoist for now. When I complete tasks in this app they are not hidden, which really clutters things up. Also, it's hard to know where to start on my day without task priority. But it's a new app, I'll keep checking in
Good start. I was surprised to find out that Microsoft To Do synchronizes with Apple Reminders, and tasks added to the latter will synchronize back to Microsoft To Do. Also, finally Microsoft Tasks will transform into a more useful tool which will be more robust than Google Tasks which largely was abandoned by Google in favor of Reminders. The problem with Google Reminders is that there isn't a dedicated app for that alone, and in Google Keep a reminder can be set to the entire checklist only, and not to individual entries. Moreover, Google Reminders requires you to set a due date, which will certainly clutter up Google Calendar and require the user to keep moving Reminders down the calendar on a regular basis as most of us can't get our entire task list done in one day. Google Tasks allows for simple task list creation, but you can't view your tasks unless you download some task app made in Hong Kong which synchronizes with Google Tasks. Essentially one is stuck converting Google Tasks into Reminders on a regular basis, and the whole process is very inefficient and fragmented. Microsoft To Do offers hope for a unified tasks and reminders solution which is also 100% made by a U.S. company and not by some questionable developer who could be compromising user data.
It's rubbish, it is not a patch on Wunderlist and should not have been released as it stands. I will not be using it until it is at least as good as Wunderlist and can be shared.
It's like Wunderlist, but disappointing.
TIL that MS will close Wunderlist and suggests this app for replacement. I installed it and was shocked. It is NOTHING like amazing Wunderlist. I used w. mainly for the shared checklists with notifications and there is no such feature here. I tried to use MS transfer tool, it was telling me for an hour that 0/9 lists are transferred (a hundred items total) and then in the best Misrosoft fashion all it was able to create was a couple of duplicate folders: "Movies to watch" and "Movies to watch (1)". I would laugh at that if I were not crying. I don't need this crappy app, just leave Wunderlist be!
A really smooth, simple to-do list app. If you want a simple task list, it's good. But... If you want any features more than very basic and simple, look elsewhere. I guess it will improve with time as they incorporate Wunderlist features, but I wont be using it until they do. I'm a Wunderlist user and it's so much better, this doesn't even compare. If it doesn't incorporate sub-tasks and attachments, as a start, it's useless to me.
