From sliders to buttons for an alarm clock is a terrible design choice. pushing a button can be done before the mind wakes up. Actively moving a slider needs a conscious mind Time to find a new clock. this can not be trusted anymore. Found a replacement. 100% free and open source. No tracking, no BS and you can choose if you want to swipe or use buttons. "Clock" on Fdroid

Like all things Google where the UX weenies have been let loose on production code, the new update does away with all forms of contrast, labels and iconography that may make it possible to know what you're doing. Good luck if the alarm's going off in the morning and you don't have your glasses on yet! Which way do you swipe the alarm? Who knows this week! Guess you'll find out in 10 minutes time! Good luck trying to clean out all your accumulated alarms 2 years later, "delete all" isn't a thing!

The alarm has stopped working. It is now very fiddly to turn on. Sometimes the alarms don't seem to stay set. And even worse it is now too easy to turn off. It used to have a slider to turn off so you had to properly focus to turn it off i.e. wake up! Now it's just a big off button that you can just hit while being half asleep. Change it back!
