worst app! it takes forever to connect, but the physical remote chews through batteries every 2 weeks. sometimes it won't even recognize my device. every time you want to do something else in your phone it forgets the device and you have to reconnect. most of the time i just try to connect directly through Netflix or Amazon prime rather than use this app. it was ok before the update, as people have said, but since the update it is nearly unusable.

Works perfectly with no lag, functions as it is supposed to, no complaints. ***edit as of the last few months it has had trouble connecting and dropping connection. Super frustrating. Used to work flawlessly but apparently nothing ever stays working with tech. ***new edit 4/21/26- has not been able to connect at all over the last few days. something seems broken, frustrating.

I just wanted to thank y'all for not having any ads. I recently stayed at an air bnb that had a Roku for the tv. the batteries were dead in the remote, so I was going to use the Roku remote app. there were so many ads it was completely unusable. like it was an unhinged amount of ads popping up constantly to use basic features on the remote. it made me so thankful that this app isn't like that. and next time I'll just bring my fire stick with me.
