The concept is good and, when I can find a sitter, it's great! The problem is that the availability thing doesn't work very well. The app will let me send a request to someone for the morning who is available only in afternoons. It would be so much easier for me to find someone if matches by available time windows was a thing

Hi Brooke, we are so sorry for that experience. We do send out regular reminders to sitters to update their availability and their accounts are affected if they do not. We are currently testing more reminder options!

While I've found great people to work with on this app. It's awkward and clunky to use. And if you want to repeat with the same sitter, you have a different phone number to text every time so you can't save them in your phone. You also can't tip without a review which is a multi step process. I booked the same sitter 3 times within 10 days and had to review every time to be able to tip her. It's also hard to see where a sitter is compared to where you are on their map.

If Rover wants to continue taking 20% or more of the sitters's earnings, the app needs to get much better. The recent update to the chat was a huge step backwards. It's clunky, difficult to navigate, sorts incorrectly, and returns to the default "all conversations" filter after exiting a chat. Everytime you leave a chat you have to filter then find your chat again. The calendar is a little better, but also clunky to use. Whoever is in charge of UI/UX needs to do better.
