Incredible app! It provides so many organised lessons with specific topics, pronunciation of the pinyin and the tones, the hanzi and how to write them, interesting stories you can read or even practise your speaking, etc (and there are no ads)! It's free until HSK1 and then you have to use premium to unlock the next lessons. I definitely didn't want to give up this app, I grew to love it so much that now I'm using premium and have access to more things. It's totally worth it!

Awesome app! I have been using it for almost two years now. This app by itself, without any other help, got me from literal zero to intermediate level. But the most importantly, it gave me solid foundations in vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, writing and even speaking! If you are making your first steps, don't even think about it! If you are already at a good level, it could supplement your study with grammar or writing skills for example. I can not thank you enough Hello Chinese team!

Very lovely app! I use it along with my university Mandarin course, but I think I end up learning more from the app than the class. It has a clear and steady progression. I believe Premium is worth it for the Teacher Talk bits and the speaking practice. Without that, the speaking practice in the main/new course is rather lacking. I also think more excercises requiring active recall and production are necessary, even in the early stages. Still, I highly recommend this.
