Pretty much all my rides this season have GPS tracking blips like the one shown. The orange dot indicates I'm going over 200 MPH at that instant. I used the satellite view to show I was in the open so the device should have "seen" many satellites. I'll have to go look at last year's rides more closely but the distance for known routes was pretty consistent. The ones this season are adding multiple miles to known distances. Great functionality, but the main screen design keeps getting worse. Make seeing your own rides the main thing again. They are now pushed down to 5th priority, after pointless icons, monthly stats, 'selected' ride and 'Following'. I pay for this - let me see and control my own data! [Update] Thanks for the feedback.

It's not really for navigation. Thick red lines for route discovery that can't be hidden cover the explore view. Same lines cover navigation view, you can't see where it's routing you. Google maps will show bike paths, lanes, low quality roads, etc in navigation. Ride With GPS hides all that info. Google Maps seems to be the only app that shows you the type of bike infrastructure you are being routed through.
