Ratings and reviews

I read the lead-in synopsis of Total AV in a pop-up ad and a bottommost red rectangle said it was FREE. Post installation, however, a notice showed a charge for the app. In my generation (I am 79YO), words such as FREE don't have floating or ephemeral meanings. FREE = FREE. What is going on? Is there another version hidden inside? Perhaps, methinks, the company needs to address this contradictory issue as it is more than a little misleading.

Beware of this app!! I started with the PC version 2 years ago with promotion price at $19 for 3 devices. Then they offered me $49 for continuation last year, but this year, they auto charged me $149 for license renewal without my consent! I tried to request for a refund, but they just kept promoting their service instead of answering to my request! If you use this, make sure you disable the auto renew option in payment method or you will end up with unrecognized charges like me!

I just downloaded this, so I'm not sure yet how good it is. I just wanted to comment that the way this app is marketed is very misleading. It appears that when you get the app, you get all the associated products. That is not the case at all. After you pay for the antivirus, you are given like 9 offers for more products, for example: VPN, password protector, disk cleanup, fingerprint protector, etc.
