Really amazing app! It shows that a lot of work was put in everything. I love that it goes past simple words, to explain different rules and what to expect in China. I love the characters, style of teaching, the fact that they use real people to show the real pronunciation, there are a lot of options available to help you learn better and, of course, the use of memes was genial! Only thing I would like to have is to have one more speed of the audio where you can hear the exact pronunciation.

Best mandarin learning app, worth paying for, but Ide like a bit more customisability. The app is free to try but to progress youll need the yearly basic subscription, the more general apps like duolingo dont really cover chinese very well as theres a lot of added context that needs explaining. To improve Ide really like to be able to turn more features on and off, they kind of have this for pinyin/hanzi but personally I only want to speak/listen for my partner and don't really care to write etc

'Hello Chinese' is really great. I found out about it from a person on 'youtube' because I never heard about them before. I think they ought to advertise more because when I mention the app to others, they never heard about them as well They are definitely better than 'Doulingo' - they explain why sentences are structured that way and give you little insights into the Chinese culture. I should have finished this course a long time ago but I am lazy. I think they are fabulous.It is free as well
