The Lufthansa app uses an Android Foreground Service during the sign-out process to ensure that logout operations continue and complete successfully even if the app is moved to the background or closed by the user. This security feature helps ensure that active sessions are terminated and authentication data is removed from the device.

Ratings and reviews

Improvement, now you can type! Still, annoyingly many panels to access your bording passes (for a connecting flight, there is a panel for: baggage, boarding, onboard flight 1, transfer, boarding, onboard flight 2, arrival - all this just to access 2 boarding passes). Shows incorrect info, such as the flight is on schedule when it's clearly not. Sends many food ads as notifications. Sends a notification saying boarding pass is saved - duh? Thanks for doing the most basic thing expected from you.

The app is full of bugs and misinformation. My seat was changed due to change of airplane but the seat on the mobile boarding pass was not changed. Even when I manually changed the seat, the mobile boarding pass displayed the old seat. If I choose to download the boarding pass to Google Wallet, the correct seat is displayed, but not inside the LH app. The the app also reports several LH lounges as temporary closed when they are actually open. Can't really trust anything in this app.

Unable to log in. Using same email and password as on website where it works, but the system somehow is not synchronised. There seems to be two circuits, Miles&More and Lufthansa.ID. Unnecessarily complicated. Two stars since at least you can log in as guest bypassing the broken authentication in an emergency. I will continue to have my boarding pass printed on dead trees when flying Lufthansa.
