Careful with QR scan!!! QR scan took money but did not arrive at vendor. the transaction was declined at the vendor's device, but shows as successful in my app ("arrived in seconds"). I waited five minutes with the vendor and it did not arrive, so I had to pay cash. I took a photo of the vendor's device, which shows that no money arrived from me. wise support was unable to help even after chat and multiple emails.

I have used this app about 10 times. At times it takes a significant amount of time for the transfer to actually occur. This might be because I am not uising the app correclty or it is an app issue. Reading some of the comments identifying a similar issue means it could be either issue. I will continue to explore. I have used to date in Australia. Excellent with seamless transactions. Will review my rating score with further experience.

edit: for some reason they limit the exchange rate and alerts to your location's currency, which makes no sense. had to remove a star for this weird choice. It's fast and the fees are much better than bank transfer (even within the same bank). It has saved me thousands of HK dollars at this point, easy. They even show you competitor prices but I've found the list to be wrong, and I've tried many alternatives - Wise still ends up being the cheapest.
