If you opt in to the Gemini app, it will replace your Google Assistant as the primary assistant on the phone. Some Google Assistant voice features aren't available through the Gemini app yet. You can switch back to Google Assistant in settings.

now the app keeps randomly crashing when I'm in the middle of typing! if I was using the live chat or mic i get that, but i'm just typing!! Also when I use the mic within the app, it clears the entire conversation. the "compatibility" with Bluetooth is a joke, constantly missing words, the voice doesn't play right away cutting off the first words & the ai voice audio quality is inconsistent. It's impossible to use if you want to leave your phone in your pocket. update: crashing is getting worse!

Well, in short? I like this app, I like it alot. I find it very thrilling the idea of a helpful AI assistant that can help you. In the past? I asked for it's memory too be a little better. And it did just that! But I have a few problems, still. I feel as Thinking mode and Pro mode are too short. I'm not asking for half an hour anymore. But 20 mins (or 20 chats) would be nice. And perhaps a rule section? Ik not everyone rps with this but. Whenever I do for fun it always takes my characters 😔😭💀

Compared to other AI options, I think Gemini is a good choice. For now, its best used in combination with other AI platforms, because each offers advantages and disadvantages. I would not give any platform more than three stars yet, because they have not reached a point of practicality that would earn the five star rating I would like to give them. Try Nano Banana image generation and editing built on 2.5 Flash, and with Nano Banana Pro built on 3 Pro, create mockups by blending images, designing posters with sharp text, and effortlessly building diagrams. Tap “Create Image” on the home screen and select “Thinking” from the model menu to use text and images to describe what you'd like to generate.
