I miss those times when the recommended videos under the video I'm watching were the ones that were similar to the video I was watching. It sucks now that the recommended videos are only the ones uploaded by the channel whose video I'm watching. Also, why can't I see the amount of likes that a comment has? Now if I wanna see how many people like a comment, I have to tap "replies". Otherwise it will be just blank.
Been using the YouTube app forever and they keep adding more features. Only issue I've had recently is no background playback using Bluetooth since the last update. Finally realized they removed the feature and you have to have Red for background playback now. App force closes on my tablet a lot but not on my phone. Updates have been really good no other complaints.
I updated the app and everything looked good until I went to watch a video! When I flipped my phone to see it in landscape form and the lower bar that you can use to skim thru the video and see how long it is isn't there! It's a pretty big annoyance not being able to skim thru the video! Anyone else have this problem and have a fix for it? I have a galaxy s3.
I pay for YouTube red & for the past 3 months have had serious problems. YouTube shuts down every time I open another app (shouldn't happen with YouTube red) & there is no more continuous play. I would like a refund for the past 3 months cause you arent providing the service that is advertised.
The most important part of youtube is video player. but google never improved it's features. Google need to work hard on video player. Double tap for rewind and skip forwarding 10 second is very worst idea. Instead of this it should be swipe toch screen towards right for forward and left for rewind. Also add an option for control Volume by swiping screen upwards and downwards.
Features, no. Bug fixes yes. 3/24/15: Fix bugs first. Your "not interested" selection for videos never works. 10/29/15: I still can't tell a difference. All I know is that the stock version is under 8MB. 12/19/15: See above. 2/09/16: See above. No difference. 11/13/16: Seriously, see above. It doesn't make it easier to find things--opposite, made it harder. 6/20/17: At some point you will see above. Just keeps getting worse. 7/19/17: Nope, see above. 3 updates in less than a month.
A new design makes it easier to use YouTube:
• Find your watch history, uploads, purchases, and playlists in the new Library tab
• Reach tabs more easily and switch between them from any screen
• See more videos with a smaller navigation bar
• Switch accounts, view notifications, and manage settings by tapping your avatar
The new design will gradually be available to everyone.
