If you forget your password and only realise you've been automatically logged out when you get to the shop, you won't be able to reset it because the app won't send you the reset email promptly, staff in store cannot help and customer service can help within 3 days time. Bad experience. Never using Aldi Shop&Go again.

Love the concept but the information is poor. Aldi really need to show more clearly this is only for a specific type of store and not every aldi supermarket. Luckily I asked my local store for clarification rather than looking like a halfwit just walking out with a trolley full of food and security chasing me.

WARNING: the first time you use Shop & Go, they pre-authorise a payment of £10 on your debit card whether or not you make a purchase. If you have a bank account that won't let you go overdrawn, this may prevent you from entering the store if your available balance is already less than £10. It may also cause subsequent payments from your card to be declined. It works very well and there are helpful staff on hand to explain how to use it. They don't tell you about the pre-authorisation.
