About this app

*Must be used in conjunction with Photo Gallery 3

The all new AiFoto 3 has been revamped and brings a variety of new features to make photo organization easier than ever. New features for AiFoto 3 include, but are not limited to timelines, smart albums. Instant auto-upload, performance enhancements, and customized share links make for an even better photo viewing and sharing experience.

— Needless to worry about other users seeing your photo. Just create NAS accounts for every user.
— Quickly find and view photos from a specific date in AiFoto 3’s timeline.
— AiFoto 3 sorts your photos in a smarter way. Smart albums found in AiFoto 3 include places, videos, recently added and favorites.
— Supports two methods to share photos, share links to other NAS users or to friends and family. All shared albums have optional encryption to protect sensitive information.
— Automatically back up photos from your phone in real-time.
— Automatic logins make viewing and backups easy.
— Download and upload task monitoring makes controlling your transfers easy.
— Easily understand photo metadata as well as edit photo descriptions to make photo identification easier.
— Easily find photos by keyword search.

*At present, the instant upload backup of mobile phone photos will generate folders under Home/MyPhoto/SmartUpload on the NAS. Each folder has a maximum of 999, so if you have many photos to upload at the same time; for example, 4000 photos on the mobile phone, it will cut into five folders.

Path: Home/MyPhoto/SmartUpload

*For NAS model AS10 series user, if you have more than15000 photos in your phone and want to auto-backup at one time, we suggest go to NAS Off-peak Hours to disable background process and enable background process once upload finish.
*It may take a while for photo indexing and thumbnail making especially for some entry models may take a day to show up if you upload a lot of photos at the same time.

Terrible app, requires a lot more work. When you use it to automatically upload your camera photos, it organises the photos into yy/mm/dd folders based on thy date the app uploads them-this is fine as an option but I would like more control where the photos get uploaded and if I would like a flatter folder structure. The worst thing though is that the app can't see the photos! The thumbnail are black, and when u try and open them, they won't load. It also intermittently goes into relay mode.

Hi Neil D'Souza, we will modify the folder structure after uploading photos, this feature is already in progress. Regarding the issue of thumbnails not being displayed, could you provide us with the screen recording, NAS model, ADM version, and Photo Gallery 3 version to curtishsu@asustor.com, so that we can clarify the issue? Thank you.

Asustor's apps are incredibly buggy. Wish I had played around with it more before my return period was over. The first AiFoto would crash when trying to connect and auto backup/upload tasks would be stuck at partial upload. AiFoto 3 just keeps crashing when you look at the tasks tab and it's just stuck on the same number of uploads remaining. It's set to run in the background and it's been given permission to run in the background but it doesn't auto backup. Unfortunately, I have no other options to backup my phone photos automatically. I guess I'll just stick to periodic backups.

Hi saeng Sorry to hear about the crash issues. we would really like to help you. 1.Would you mind tell us how you log in? Like by using cloud id or IP? 2.We are doubting there might be specific kinds of photos format that can cause the issue. If possible, you can email to pinhaohuang@asustor.com for more help and providing the photos that stuck.

the new updates are great. It's a great app to backup phone photos automatically in original quality and have them on demand when needed. But also adding any external photos to the PhotoGallery folder makes them part of the bigger collection so you can see everything in the one place. You can easily share to Google photos for photos we want to share at lower quality which is a great feature too. It's a great app once you understand how to use it to its fullest.
