Love the use case of this app; its open, fast, private and simple. However it is still lacking in usability. It needs a "add calories" function, and a mode that ignores macros. If I just want to add the approximate calories of two potatoes, this is currently impossible to add to the database unless you go through the effort of looking up the bloody macronutrients of the produce. The app definitely has potential, but isn't quite there yet.

So far it has been good. I was so happy to find an app focused on privacy and that its open source. Far much better than what the big apps here allow. I was able to scan all but 1 product but I'm blaming that more on an external database that the app really can't control. Its nice it can let me control how I want to direct my diet and that it allows me to add activities. The only change I would ask is that it would let me add my walking as per km rather than time.

Excellent app. The core functionality I was looking for without the subscription, ads or tracking. And open source! Things I would like to see to make it 5*: custom daily macro (cals, protein, carbs, fat) goals; custom exercise cals (I have more accurate estimates from another app); save a group of foods and weights as a reusable meal/recipe; and data export. I use the OpenFoodFacts app to add any missing products, as it is a bit more flexible and I know I'm improving things for others. Thanks!
