This messaging app has a really tiny app size compared to the competition, making it really fast to download. The SMS backup technique is helpful when you have to change your device, or it gets stolen. This way, you can retrieve the text message from both group messaging and private messaging easily using the SMS backup in this messaging app.

The blocking feature helps preventing unwanted messages easily, you can block all messages from not stored contacts too. Blocked numbers can be both exported and imported for easy backup. All conversations can be easily exported to a file for simple backup or migration between devices.

Ratings and reviews

It used to be decent, with my main complaint being difficulty distinguishing between some users in group messages. But the version released in early January 2024 has so many prompts and persistent, long, slow loading, intrusive ads blocking its use that it isn't worth it. Ads are fine to generate revenue from your work when they don't get in the way, but what's been done here is just idiotic. I'm looking for a different messaging app.

Final Edit: See edit history. I have uninstalled it. Despite what the dev implies in their reply, when I originally installed this in April of 2023, it did not have ads (or I would not have installed it. They added ads and an outrageous pricing scheme about eight months later. I can only hope they don't muck up the other Simple Tools -- which, unlike this app, you could purchase for a small, reasonable price (and I have).

Sometimes it fails to send MMS messages but does not notify the user when this happens. Edit: I think the failure may have something to do with the "Resize sent MMS images" option. But I'm not sure. Regardless, it doesn't notify me when the failure occurs. From my POV, it appears to have sent successfully (it even shows the double checkmark underneath) but the recipient does not receive the message. Hope you guys can figure it out. Good luck!
