The new image selector (where you have to tap a small, hard to see circle in the top right corner, then tap "choose") is awful. Textra is an otherwise great sms app, and you'll get my review swapped to a 5 when that change is reverted. Update 7/22: The image selector has been updated so you no longer must select "choose." Unfortunately, you still have to click on a tiny circle in the corner of the screen. This is still bad. I want to select images way more often than I want to expand them.

Text is ok, but the app fails to send images nearly all of the time. I've tried different settings, different image types and sizes and it fails to send 9 out 10 times. Uninstalled. Update: It has nothing to do with the carrier. My phone is almost always connected to our home wifi and 1Gb Internet. I have a few other SMS apps loaded trying find something better than default and no other has this issue.

Pretty good app with convenient features. One thing that really irks me is that you can't mark an individual thread/conversation as "read" so that the notification counter on the app badge goes away. And when I "mark all as read" it often will leave some conversations still showing 1 or 2 unread messages. I'd really like to see a "cleanup tool" that you can run manually or on a recurring basis that will put all junk like 2 Factor Auth codes in a list for you to quickly delete.
