This application provides access to the Camera Kit SDK, which enables Augmented Reality Lenses to be used in content created through the camera. AR experiences are designed to inspire creativity and self expression.

This app is used to power experiences for systems often pre-installed on devices, like certain native camera apps.

I too was suspicious of this, but researched to see that it enables a very good feature in 2 apps I have for navigation and for night sky searching. It allows the apps to overlay items into your camera's view if the app needs to. (eg I point camera at the sky and can get shown on the camera overlay what each dot of light actually is.) Not Snapchat.

However, as with any app, risks exist, such as data sharing and potential vulnerabilities. To enhance safety: Keep the app updated to benefit from the latest security features. Review privacy settings to control what information is shared. Be cautious with permissions, especially regarding location and contacts.

Can't uninstall the app which means our phone's security may be at risk. Google play store should look into it urgently and should remove such apps from its listings.
