works well. i dont really need statistics, i just wanted a timer i could control from my phone for emergency situations where you need to turn the hot water on... i will say be careful when you program the timers the schedule you set is when it will be "OFF", which is the opposite of conventional systems where you set the time you want it to turn "ON" , other than that everthing hot waters on when you want it and off the rest to save money

I'm on a time of use plan so after midnight the power is cheapest. I have this set up to come on midnight-6 am and that's typically enough for the day. This has paid for itself many times over. I like the app will tell me if I'm out of hot water so I can boost it for a few minutes but that's not very often. Having this on a time of use plan is way more efficient than a tank less water heater.

No software updates in a year - dismal approach to customer service. Tried "intelligent" setting but there is no feedback, nothing to look at to see that it is responding to usage. Changed to "manual" and now seeing some savings. It only provides me with kwh used which is just a measurement of when the exhaust blower is running. Would prefer a measurement for gas used. Tried the water leak detection. Beep from unit was so soft, could only hear standing near tank. Notification on cell, no sound.
