Flex splits your monthly rent into smaller payments, helping you pay rent on time, improve cash flow, and build your credit history — so you can breathe easier every month.


Each month, you contribute part of your rent to unlock your credit line. We help you pay your rent in full and on time to your property when it’s due. You have the flexibility to choose your payment dates within the month, based on what works best for you and your finances.


*Flex is a financial technology company, not a bank. All lines of credit, banking services, and payment transmissions are offered by Blue Ridge Bank, N.A., Member FDIC or Lead Bank. An application and credit assessment are required for approval. Credit line amounts vary based on eligibility (graphics are illustrative only); to access a credit line, you are required to make timely payments each month. Secured lines of credit are provided by Lead Bank at 0-36% APR based on your credit worthiness. You are required to maintain a security deposit with Lead Bank. Unsecured lines of credit are provided by Blue Ridge Bank or Lead Bank for a recurring monthly membership fee of $14.99 at 0% APR. A bill payment fee of 1% of your total rent is also charged when you pay your rent using Flex (additional card processing fee applies when using a credit card). Memberships automatically renew until canceled. Other third party fees may apply. See your offer for more details. Flex may report positive rent payment history and information about your line of credit to one or more national credit bureaus. Terms and conditions apply. All loan proceeds are disbursed by Blue Ridge Bank or Lead Bank; Flex does not disburse loan proceeds or engage in the movement of consumer funds. All brokering activities are performed by Flexible Finance Brokering, Inc. All servicing and collection activities are performed by Flexible Finance Servicing, Inc.

At first I gave it 5 stars because although it is a good thing to have, it needs a lot of tweaking. It allows you to extend your split payments. Unfortunately, it still takes it out of your account anyway. For example, if you extend your second payment from the 15th to the 20th, you have to make a partial payment before it allows the extension. Then, it still deducts the other portion on the 15th and not the 20th as agreed. This is very annoying because it renigs on the agreement. Please fix it!

It's great when you run into financial situations! However, there are too many fees included. A monthly membership fee is required to participate which is 14.99 plus they charge a % on the dollar amount of your rent & a % for using a CC or debit. The apartments I live in ALSO charge a fee for using FLEX. So I'll use it again if I need to but not anytime soon!!!!

Updated review: This was offered to us for about 9 mths before we could actually make it work for us. Because of when my husband got paid, it just never seemed to work out. We've been able to use it now for a few months without any issues. This month it wouldn't let us pay at 1st, but it was on our apartments end. It ended up going thru on time which was relieving. The only issue I have is that, we pay back early & they won't give us a better credit yet.
