Ratings and reviews

I like and use edge over chrome. But there is one recurring issue with edge that is pretty serious. Often less sophisticated mobile apps reroutes you to your default browser for authentication because the app is not well built and relies on this cludgey method. However, all these apps ends up spinning forever unable to log you in. This happens with amtrak, American airlines to name a few. My fix is to change my default browser to Firefox, log in then change my default back to edge. Not ideal.

Yesterday's update seems to have broken the automatic downloads setting. Browser's now constantly asking to download things I'm telling it to download with no way to correct the behavior. I don't get why the devs always need to try to make things they don't need to change worse Edit: they also removed the ability to put the download toasts at the top of the screen. For now I'll be switching to a different browser. Might check again in a few months to see if they fix it.

It's a pretty good browser that runs well and has a lot of multi-device integration. A lot of issues I had were eventually fixed, and the only ones left are small things like highlighting text being imprecise, or synced favorites folders not allowing me to keep the same URLs in multiple places. Copilot offering to rewrite everything is annoying, too.
