About this app

For your devices and items
• View your phone, tablet, headphones, and other accessories on a map–even if they’re offline.
• Play a sound to locate your lost device if it’s nearby.
• If you’ve lost a device, you can remotely secure or erase it. You can also add a custom message to display on the lock screen in case someone finds your device.
• Find your devices and items on Mobile and supported Wear OS devices.
• All location data in the Find Hub network is encrypted. This location data is not visible even to Google.

For location sharing
• Share your live location to coordinate a meetup with a friend or check on family to make sure they got home safe.

Very useful. Helped me yesterday someone sneaked to my house while was in shower, and stole my phone located it and found it within an hour. No way they can turn the location, data or Wi-Fi off if the phone is locked.(check your settings) and the phone itself they can't switch it off if its locked will require password. Make sure you play the tracking sound once ure so close to prevent the suspect from noticing it being tracked. Even if it's on silent the beeping sound will still alert you.

Just tested this app with Location (precise) turned on, all permissions granted, and connected to WiFi. First of, there was no option or at least a prompt in the app itself as to how to go about finding my device. I had to google how to do it. I eventually found the sign-in page for Find My Device. Signed in; within seconds, a notification popped up stating that my device was located. I opened up the address in Google Maps, and it showed this device on a street in Russia. I'm in Africa. Yeah.

I think this app is not meant for stolen phones, again, I think it's meant for people who always have data on their phones and always turned on the location. Now do you really think someone can steal your phone and keep it working with your details? Of course not, they will wipe it(factory reset) and start using new details, you have a very small chance of finding your phone using this method
