We set out to build Rootd after suffering from panic attacks and anxiety for several years. The only help we could find was either too expensive, ineffective, or poorly designed. Our mission is to help others find accessible relief from their panic and anxiety, and to end the stigma against those affected.

Finally, an app for conquering panic attacks and anxiety that blends a guided process for both immediate and long term relief, with clean and engaging design.

I like the panic button, I like the facts it gives. I've used this for about 3 years almost, I don't feel like I should have to pay for premium to turn on dark mode so I'm not blinded at night time. Even with my night light mode on, it's absolutely bright and you do not charge monthly, only yearly.

Some parts of the app do not work properly. For example, The 'Breathe' tool alternates between inhale and exhale about 4 times per second (I can't even hyperventilate that fast). Another example; all of the 'Sleep' tool songs speed through the timer. A 2 minute soundscape is finished in 8 seconds (the soundscape sounds normal, otherwise). I've cleared cache and data, reinstalled the app, and also installed the app on a separate phone to no avail.

I downloaded this app again, as it still shows up on play pass. This time there was no trial period pay wall.... until you sign up/in. The dev response is inaccurate, not me. The unprofessional/rude response to my review is inappropriate of your company. I've now got receipts. 8/2/25 - needed this app for panic attacks and bought the Google Play Pass thinking that I would be able to use this app for free. This was false advertising because I am required to subscribe.
