The pull-up is a functional exercise that engages different muscle groups in the upper body. First of all - the latissimus dorsi muscle, it runs from the middle of the back to the armpits and shoulder blades. Its function is to direct the shoulder to the body and stretch the arms back and rotate them inward. The trapezius muscles move the shoulder blades and provide support to the arms. The infraspinatus muscle takes part in the extension of the shoulder. There is also a muscle that straightens the spine. Depending on the pull-up technique, the triceps, deltoid muscle of the shoulder, teres major, brachioradialis, biceps and pectoralis major muscle are included in the work.
