Ratings and reviews

This used to be an excellent booking app, but now there are rate updates every 2 minutes, and viewing the property does not lock in your rate, and the rate updates NEVER are to the customers advantage. It is if Engine is now using analytics/AI to PRICE GOUGE the rate much as possible the minute someone shows interest in a property. This has been repetitive over my last 10 bookings, and the trend started after Engine's last update. They do not cover parking fees.

app use to be great 2 yrs, not anymore. first it logs you out, when you try sign into the app. it's stuck in the sign in screen. second when you book your hotel through engine, it still uses a 3rd party for discounts like priceline. might as well download the priceline app, at least their app always works. finally 3rd i was wondering why wasn't getting any hotel points, it because it's booked through a third party. I book hotels direct now.

It's a good app in progress. It gets you a discount as promised, but not any better than some other apps. I often check my other apps too and sometimes use this one, and sometimes use the others depending on the discount. It would be nice to just know the discount is going to be the best available. The ability to get clean receipts without advertising or unless comments is lacking also. A must for accounting purposes. It currently defaults to 2 guests. That should be an adjustable option.
