The application is very professionally done and much better than other applications I have tried. There are, however, issues with what is advertised versus what is delivered. I was formerly fluent in German, but that was 30 years ago. I wanted to regain my skills to go back and visit. They have advertised in multiple places that their course work goes up to the C1 level. That is not the case(separate grammar does not as well). They may be counting Babbel Live, but it is misleading.

Overall it is a very good app, but the voice recognition is hit or miss. Unfortunately more misses than hits lately. The most recent update will NOT recognize any short words or short sentences. It was at least somewhat useful in previous versions, but it is now completely useless again. Google translate recognizes spoken words correctly. Currently my native speaking family members can not get a "correct" pronunciation, per Babbel. Fix it or just remove it please.

Good app for learning languages, it teaches the basics and principles better than Duolingo. I'm learning French, and the voice recognition has serious issues. I've literally tested some words with perfect pronunciation (not from me) and the app says it's pronounced wrong. Some words I've had to intentionally pronounce wrong to be detected. For example, when pronouncing the word "sept" (7), I have to pronounce the silent 'p' which is incorrect but the only way the app detects it.
