Ratings and reviews

Here are some things that need improving: If you accidentally brush the screen, immediately goes into a "read aloud" mode. So you can't touch the screen to highlight passages or look up words like you can with the Kindle app. It just needs a few improvements like that. I like the read aloud mode, but maybe move it to a menu item so readers can touch the screen and highlight passages. Maybe I'm just using it wrong. I like that I can use the volume keys to turn pages.

Terrible user experience, I turn the page only to find it skipped a whole page and when I try to flip back to it, it acts as if it not there. The only reason im getting the whole book is cause im listening to the audio alongside it. Good luck trying to highlight anything either. Terrible for students or anyone trying to annotate, i never leave reviews but am so genuinely disgruntled that i have to.

I really wanted a store that wasn't Amazon to buy ebooks from. Bezos doesn't deserve my money. I am an avid reader. First, you have to read the books in Nook app, can't use my favorite reader. It wouldn't let me buy books in the app. It told me to go to browser, so I did. Bought an ebook, thinking delivery was near instant. Instead, the order sat in processing for hours, before they ultimately rejected my order for vague, unspecified reasons. So, I'm going to try Kobo.

What's new

Dark Mode: Enjoying books in the dark just got better! You may have changed your ebook reader theme, toggled the brightness of your screen, and some of us have even worn sunglasses at night. We've heard your feedback, and we're adding some help. Check out App Settings to enable Dark Mode. Choose from Always On, Always Off, or Use Device Settings.
