About this app

Sun Position shows you sunrise and sunset times, as well as the solar and lunar path on an augmented reality camera view for any day of the year at your current location. Its handy data screen also gives you other useful information including moon rise/set times, golden hour and twilight times, and moon phase information.

The app has a map view which plots the daily sun and moon path relative to your current location. It also contains a widget for your home screen showing sunrise/set times for the current day and your current location.

Extremely useful w/ missing features keeping it from 5/5. I use the free one for location scouts, and the precise data is invaluable for pre-pro. I'd 100% purchase if a few things were addressed: 1) The app header takes up a ton of space in the AR when in landscape, blocking ⅓ of the image. 2) I need to be able to capture full AR paths in a single image; ideally by stitching in app, but even the option to use the wide lens for a better view would be a help. Thanks for all your hard work!

Reliable, efficient, hard-working, and does not crash on my searching for the sun or moon. However, it does glitch next to metal, and the app tells you when you are so no complains there. Most impressive app, I'll be using this on sunrises and sunsets for my photography.

A basic app that displays sun and moon information for the current day. To the developers: please reconfigure the "sun/moon detailed data" widgets to show data in two separate columns to save home screen space. Currently, if I configure my widget to display only four data points, the widget size must be exanded to ⅓ of the page. Also, it would be great if the widget could update to display the next day's dawn and sunrise times directly following the current day's dusk time. Please consider!

What's new

This release includes updates to the user interface. Your device will also now stay unlocked when on the Sun Path screen.
