Autoship is very convenient and can save money, but it is hard to personalize it to suit changing needs. Items that are added are not always included in future shipments. The ability to add or drop specific items to an established autoship needs to be streamlined and easily accessed during the ordering process, especially if ordering for a specific pet or using autoship for birds which are migrating in and out of one's territory. Still, it is a good idea for consumers to try.

I've been ordering from Chewy for a long time and have been happy with them until recently. They discontinued my dogs food, and when I replaced it with another kind, they discontinued that one too. When I reached customer service through chat to better understand, two different reps gave me two different stories.. I'm not sure this is worth the slight savings and hassle anymore.

My first order from Chewy and they send me a broken plastic tank. This tank was almost $20. No packing material around it, nothing to keep it from breaking. Broken pieces everywhere. Thank God it wasn't glass. And thank God I know how to fix things. They owe me a refund on this order for sending a defective item. Someone could have gotten cut. Not okay. Will never order again. And they don't allow reviews on their Facebook page. Now I see why!
