I purchased a 2 year deal to use a UK VPN in the USA. Things started off well, but for some reason the speed dropped significantly to the point that's it's now unusable. I tried tweaking the settings mentioned online, but still not working. And of course there is no way of contacting them. I've blown $50 on a substandard VPN. I've messaged them and not heard anything back. Stay clear, you'll be better off going elsewhere. I'll stick to Surfshark.

CyberGhost worked well for me at first. On the windows version, I started getting "always on top" ads. They would interrupt anything I was doing and make me interact with the ad before I could do anything else. This is with a 2 year pre-paid subscription. I contacted support and told them I didn't want ads. They said they can't remove them, so I requested a refund on unused time (I was only 4 months into my subscription). They refused a partial refund and cancelled my account. Not happy.

Didn't even try because they are not giving you something FREE - just a trail. Offer us a version that is free with out the bells and whistles only ads to pay for the this version and may even make you money. This is from someone who is very familiar with this type of software and the ad model to work better for the free version than trials this software offers. This review is about your advertising and your not realizing a lot of software doing the same gives VPN away for nothing.
