WHY WE NEED LOCATION DATA
Chipolo uses location data to display the last known location of your Chipolo finder in the Chipolo app, to trigger Out of Range Alerts on your phone and to display your phone's location in the Chipolo web app, even when the app is running in the background.

They've gotten greedy and added more rules making everything very annoying you literally need to have location on "at all times" not just location on. "physical activity monitor" on just to activate the "left behind" feature where as before when i first bought it it didnt need that. Worst thing is the app is very bad and doesn't work anymore the option to ring and find the tracker is not there anymore. So if I lose something I wont find it. Garbage product I won't use anymore.

Save your money. 100% unreliable, it only works if you don't close their app. Once you do you have to reset, uninstall, install, config, add it to Google's find my device... When you try to contact customer service you'll get a AI bot with a blanket statement blaming the user without technically blaming the user. I've added it to find my device over 20 times now. After explaining the issues to an AI bot you have to do it all again 2 a service rep, if you don't respond within 10 min...restart.

The range is ok. But it takes a very long time to connect with old devices. Also, some chipolos connect faster than others (tested by the phone) They must make it so I can ring the chipolos as a bluetooth broadcast, before the bluetooth "connects". The chipolos are good quality and the battery lasts many more months than cheap chinese copies.
