Ratings and reviews

The new update is riddled with issues, generally a downgrade from the previous version, and it completely removed the Widget from Android. I mostly used the widget to peek at headlines, now I just have a mostly empty home screen where it once was. Reuters is probably the best mainstream massively popular news source around. It's unfortunate that the app does not due the journalism justice. (Edit: Typos)

Newest update does not send any push notification for major events even when all notifications are turned on for the app and via phone settings. No push notification for major events from a news app is insane. Edit (7/18): Notifications are working now like they used to in the old version of the app, adjusting my rating to reflect the fix.

7/7/24 It's great to have the Reuters app for news. The app is more attractive after its latest update, but it has a lot of scrolling instability on my pixel 4a. Like a misbehaving web page, all you want to do is shut it down, which defeats the purpose of having the app. DEVs, please resolve this! A hopeful comment is that so far, the updated app hasn't opened any incorrect articles as the old interface did occaisionally.
