BlackBerry Priv This latest update causes Notes to use way too much memory. The graphics are jerky (opening and closing a note), and every time a note opens or maximizes, all Web page data is lost. Every time I go back to the browser, the page has to reload; then I have to scroll to the point where I left off. The horrible lost data bug still exists. Any time you leave a Note or Task open and minimized for a long period of time, all data is gone from that item when you go back--whether the note is previously saved or not. You don't just lose the edit; you lose the entire contents of the note. I see someone created a new routine that supposedly "saved" the note on minimize. It is useless and doesn't address the problem. A simple troubleshoot before shipping the update would have shown that leaving that supposedly "saved" note minimized for long will still lose all of its contents. Advice: If you are going to try to work around the bug instead of actually fixing it, the open note or task should be "saved AND CLOSED" as the app minimizes, instead of just saved. Better yet, when a note or task is left open when minimized, the contents should be written to a page file in storage instead of just left in memory. I think I understand why the "save" button was updated to scroll with the data instead of staying in the open window; to give more editing area for people with no physical keyboard. But now, if you have large text files, and are editing at the top, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom every time you want to save. Grrr Advice: If you look at your Contacts App, there is a checkmark (upper left) to save and exit the app. In Calendar, there is the word "Save" in the upper right. Notes and Tasks both have "DONE" at the BOTTOM right. Your formatting is all over the place, which makes it not intuitive. Give all the apps the nice sleek checkmark in the upper left. Everyone is familiar with the checkmark. All of your apps will have common formatting, be more intuitive, and no one will ever have to scroll all the way to the bottom of a note to find a button. Any time you paste into notes, the text retains the original formatting, including font size and background color. Notes allows me to change font color, create bullet points, bold, etc; but there is no way to change background or font size. Either provide these tools, or stop retaining original background and font size. If you paste from multiple sources, the note become ugly and practically unreadable with all the unalterable formatting. Why, in the name of heaven, is it impossible to attach a note as a text file in texts and emails? This is just basic Smartphone 101. What is wrong with you, BlackBerry? I will never understand why you totally redesigned Notes. Years of experience culminated in a beautiful app in BB10 that seamlessly integrated Calendar, Contacts, Hub, Tasks, and Notes (with FOLDERS and VOICE NOTES!!). Even with the migration to Droid (grrr), there is no reason to totally abandon your flowcharts and functionality from BB10. All you have to do is read these reviews to see how many formerly loyal BlackBerry customers you have disappointed.

auto-updated over wifi. User reloaded older version. All data lost. Note, user never instructed app to auto-update. Part 2/reply- Play store - understood prior and while a google, not user, mistake on that front, integrating data files into the program file makes no sense. Meaning, one does not have their doc or pdf files vanish when they delete or update Word or Acrobat. Aside, Android is a bit of a joke all the way around. BB for raw communication was/is superior to Android.

Auto-update is the default in the Play Store app. You can change that default in Play Store - top-left menu - Settings - Auto-update apps.

On Android 7.1, you can turn off the notification pop-ups in device Settings - Notifications - Messages - Show silently.
