Ratings and reviews

I get that consolidation of multiple platforms reduces f that BBC is in a massive cost reduction phase. I'm an audio podcast fan. The navigation in the audio section is like a 1999 web page. You have to return to the top menu page and drill down again to look at each program and follow it. Rinse and repeat for each program you want to follow or download. Not very easy to use. This "feature" will discourage me from finding and following new programs.

Many of the videos in the articles come with an ad prior to the news video. More often than not, the ad has a glitch where it stops playing, and then you can never see the news related video. This is an ongoing issue that has not been resolved with multiple updates, therefore I am planning to switch to a different news source.

Unlike BBC sounds, this app leaves an overlay stating that I don't want notifications on this app and ALL of my other apps as well. I don't want notifications, full stop. I love the BBC, but if this persistent notification of not wanting notifications does not go away soon, I'll disinstall the app. It fèls like they've done it on purpose so that I will turn notifications on to get rid of the invasive, persistent grey rectangle! Otherwise, the app is fine.
