Ratings and reviews

There is no way to drop a GPS waypoint on the map. I think it is a must for any hiking app. The other problem is the location indicator. When hiking, it should be smooth as you are changing directions. The location indicator sometimes does not move for up 20 seconds after you change directions. It's not good when you are trying to find your way. It seems alltrails lack the basic essentials for a hiking app.

Most of the time the trail head locations are accurate. About 25% of the time, the app tells you the directions/location of where to park and it is either restricted to utility/park service workers or it is non-existent. I have the most luck when I'm in more metropolitan areas...the more remote/rural the trail, the greater the chance that All Trails is inaccurate.

Super irritating. App too dumb to tell you are back at the start. Then it locks you out for the next trek until you finish the earlier trek. Apparently I walked 40 miles this month. Absurd! It counts driving distance. No way to fix it. The stats become useless if you ever forget to finish the Trek in the app before driving off. The battery priority function is now broken too, despite the "unrestricted" battery use setting. As a result it can't follow the trail unless it's open on the screen
