I like the app but I only really use it for remote viewing when I'm not home. If they didn't have that feature or made me pay for it I would delete the app without a second thought. Nothing gets uploaded to their cloud and the app doesn't have permission to write to my phone. I use open source software that's set to record alerts and motion to my home server. This is just enough for me.

Now I know that I am not crazy. The setup was fine but the sd card wasn't recording. Now that I fixed that, it will only record a few days then stop and I have to format and reset and do all types of stuff to get it back recording. I just checked and 3/5 cameras stopped recording almost a month ago. Where's the security? Edit. They fry new sd cards every couple of months

Video is pretty good, surprisingly so at night. Keeps dropping connection. Sound is just wrong: can hear birds and crows and dogs and kids screaming 30m away, yet can't hear 2 people talking 4m away. Manual control is sluggish. The worst part is the connection dropping. Fix that and you've got another 2 1/2 stars.
