How to Rent a Car Avoiding Under 25 Fee

The fee for those under 25 will be waived if you're renting from Surprise Suppliers on the Carla app. Enter your age before searching and make a reservation with Surprise Suppliers. I used it once to reserve a car. They didn't have the car. I wanted a refund. They took my whole deposit of 270 dollars. This was not clearly stated in the terms. There was mention of cancellation fees but I never imagined they would steal my entire deposit, especially when technically, I didn't even cancel, the car just wasn't available. Customer service stated they couldn't offer me a refund, which I thought was comical because it is my money! What a shady outfit, don't deal with them.

I tried two of my credit cards, and it says it's not approved and not enough balance even tho both have more than $1k. My booking (car) was only for a day. I even tried Afterpay, but i think it doesn't accept debit cards, so it declined it. So, my question is, is there a specific brand of credit card they accpet and balance they should have?? very disappointing!

I hate it when customers are lured in with phrases like "Car rental starting from $10 a day!!" only to later discover that the company is actually the most expensive car rental service in the market! Just tell the truth from the beginning. Why make the customer download apps and go through a whole process of entering information, only to find out they've been deceived!!
