Even when connected, the app says my last regeneration was 1/1/70 and we've used 0 gallons ever. It's 2025, tech is supposed to be better than app that maybe sometimes provides stats. For the developers: Here are the things I'd expect a helpful app to do at a minimum: reconnect automatically; not require a user to stand outside to connect the device to the network unless resetting; allow user to kick off the regeneration cycle from the app.

As expensive RainSoft is, you would think it could easily connect to the app. Nope. It took multiple phone calls and visits by technicians to get it connected. I recently upgraded my Wi-Fi and had the RainSoft EC5 electronic replaced under warranty. The technician was unable to connect the app and left saying "sometimes it fixes itself in an hour or so." Hah! I tried to connect myself. Nope. Called support. They blamed my Wi-Fi configuration. All my other devices connect fine. Worthless!

Sure would be nice if the water system could go more than a few days without disconnecting. Barring that, why not have it automatically reconnect when it can? The app itself seems OK, but the implementation on the water system itself leaves a lot to be desired. No auto-reconnect, frequent disconnects, and the absurd reliance on 2.4 Ghz WiFi. Hire some devs who know how to get this thing working, please.
