About this app

Sipnetic is a free VoIP softphone based on the SIP protocol. It allows you to connect to your VoIP provider, cloud PBX, or an enterprise telephony server.

⚠️ Important note
Sipnetic doesn’t offer a VoIP service. To use Sipnetic you need an account from a SIP service provider. When you use the New Account Wizard, make sure you already have the server address, login, and password.

Unfortunately, since Dec, 26 it's no longer possible to purchase Sipnetic's paid features on Google Play. Please contact us via email (sipnetic@gmail.com) for more details.

Features:
• Compatibility with all standards-compliant VoIP providers and PBXes.
• Supports calling over 3G/4G and Wi-Fi.
• Modern UI.
• Great audio quality provided by the Wideband Opus codec. Legacy codecs, such as G.722, G.711, G.729, Speex, and GSM, are also supported.

Had to stop using Sipnetic due to heavy battery use - up to 30% in one day. My phone was in constant danger of not lasting even one day just from normal use and this app. Functionally, the app works and sends text messages using an SIP Simple connection to my VOIP provider, and call quality is fine. But there is no getting around the huge battery use. I have incresed the ping setting as someone else suggested but it does not help. Sorry but the battery drain overwhelms everything else.

Edited: I started getting 3 beeps and no audio during calls, but a reinstall fixed it. ALSO - for those with battery issues, try increasing registration time to 15 minutes and TCP/UDP ping to something like 300 seconds. I didn't see any adverse affects from doing this. Battery way better! Original: Underrated! Fast. Reregisters quickly when switching networks. SMS works on VoIP.ms, including SMS sent while the phone was off (some apps never pulled those down). I'm a fan.

Thank you for your review, Sam. We haven't tested text messages with VoIP.ms, great to hear that it works!

the app is very well structured, takes away the complexity of SIP configuration with preconfigured settings for many providers, but unfortunately the high battery drain has meant I had to disable it on my pixel 8 pro. I hope this can be solved somehow because otherwise it's 5 stars from me

Sorry for the inconvenience. Adjusting app settings, especially the registration settings, may improve battery usage. Also, the app should drain less when connected via Wi-Fi, rather than via a mobile network.
