Using your Android smartphone with near field communication (NFC), the Snapper Mobile app is the essential partner to your Snapper + card.

Simply hold your Snapper card to the back of the phone and after a one time log in, instantly check your balance, recent transaction history, top up with no transaction fee, and buy a travel pass - anytime, anywhere.

Features:

LOG IN - For a seamless and secure experience, you are required to log in to your registered Snapper account when you first launch the app. If you haven’t registered your card before, you can create an account and register it from within the app. Note, you won’t have to log in again unless you choose to log out from within the app.

CHECK YOUR BALANCE - See the real time balance of your card at a glance.

TOP UP - Instantly top up with no transaction fee. Use the dial to select a top up value, or tap to enter your desired amount. The app will remember your last top up amount to make the next time even faster.

BUY A TRAVEL PASS - Relative to your card's concession, travel passes will be available for purchase and instantly loaded to your Snapper.

TRANSACTION HISTORY - Instant, detailed, clear, and displayed in real time - you can view the latest 20 transactions on the card. Icons indicate transport transactions, retail purchases or top ups, alongside a running balance and individual transaction values. Transport transactions can be tapped to display:
- The unique stop ID
- Separate Tag on and Tag off fares
- Date and times

SAVE PAYMENT DETAILS - Highly secure and accessed by a 4-digit PIN you can save your payment details for a seamless Snapper top up experience.

REGISTER - Instantly secure and protect your Snapper card should it ever be lost or stolen, from within the app.

VIEW CARD INFORMATION - View all the detail on your Snapper card at a glance. Check your 16 digit unique Snapper card number, concession, or if you have a pending IOU.

IN APP FEEDBACK AND SUPPORT - Did something go wrong? No need to find a phone number - help is easily accessible from within the app. Select “Customer Support” from the account menu and send us your query. Snapper support will respond directly.

Awful platform, equally awful app. Parts of the UI are actually nicely done.. Having to SIGN UP just to check a random card is a major wall. Even when you ARE signed-in, you have to get the card out of your wallet and scan the darn thing each and every time. It should show registered cards there with a disclaimer that "info may be out of date, scan card to confirm" Upon calling Snapper when the app broke, their systems also crashed on them. Bring-on national ticketing soon!!

I swear the app breaks with every big update. It used to be that without even having the app open I could just scan my card once, pay for a top-up, scan my card again and I'd be done. Now it scans once to open the app, scan 20 times for it to not respond, close app, reopen and scan again, pay for top-up, scan and get an error, it says I haven't paid so I try paying again, then I get another error saying I HAVE already paid, then it finally lets me scan my card and done. 5 stars when it's fixed.

Very disappointed. I spent ages attempting to enter details for a payment card, and finally succeeded, only to find that when I enter the 4 digit pin I created, nothing happens. As a result, I can no longer use my Snapper card unless I can find a dairy that will allow me to top it up.
