The value of the dollar has steadily declined since 1913 when the Federal Reserve was created. The process has accelerated in 1971 when President Nixon took U.S. off of the gold standard. While nominal dollar value decreased, coins made with silver, commonly called "junk silver", retained their value.

The app is a virtual wallet where user can select the silver coins and quantities and see the total real value based on metal content. The nominal value is shown as well.

Each coin has a description, metal content information and historical notes.

Ratings and reviews

I like it, but why does the app close when I add something to the wallet or check out something? Shouldn't stay up? Then I have to open the app again to see what I just added and prices of items selected. Is it the app or my phone or is that the way it was designed? I just downloaded it a few minutes ago. 8/6/25. UPDATE::: It needs to update the prices more often. It's 9/25/25 and I still have 9/24/25s prices. Other wise it's a great app. A lot of us keep up with the prices of our silver Daly...

This is a fantastic app. It really comes in handy, especially being able to enter precise amounts and have a larger variety to select from compared to other similar apps. In my opinion, this should be your go-to app for quick calculations because everything was very accurate. I don't understand why this isn't rated higher, maybe add "calculator" to the name if possible? I don't leave many reviews. This is one that's definitely worthy of a positive one.

Looks promising and simple but info is not current. Need a live spot price or a way to change it manually. I don't know when the price updates but right now I'm seeing the price from 3 days ago. When I'm looking to buy sellers look at the live spot price and not 3 day old prices. Looks like it will be great for keeping an inventory of your stack but maybe not the value. I'll keep it for now but I don't know how much I will use it. Add live prices or a way to change it and it would be five stars.
