It requires internet for it to work properly at home. When I say properly, I mean, all your channels are available. With the new router, the performance has gone down tremendously. Watching my cable channels at home is horrible now. After the router switch. How does an old routor work better than a new system that you say works better? Connectivity is poor and not consistent. Watching anything on your phone is the worst now. My cellular signal works better.

The Spectrum TV app is not bad, but it's really lacking in some basic DVR functionality. I would love to find a more affordable replacement to YouTubeTV. With this app, you unfortunately can not just pause the show you're watching. You have to go through several steps to record the show you're watching and then open it in DVR instead of just simply pressing pause. For me, this is a big annoyance. Until this feature is added, I think I'll primarily stick with other options.

NEED HELP WITH SOUND? For those who can't get sound to work, first make sure the speaker on screen is unmuted. Still no sound, touch the 3 Dots on screen, select "Audio" option and switch Spanish to English, turn it On, then turn it off. Hope this helps. To Spectrum, I don't do any social network to talk to people which is ridiculously ignorant since an email isn't good at all to help out with the app. An email should be just as good to report anything to work as a team. Every update gets worse.
