So disappointing. Some basic functions work OK but require 2-3 times more effort than needed. The entire UI looks dated and misformatted on either Android or iOS. However, there is consistency as this Sony app is neck and neck with the Denon app I was using for 5+ years. Literally the best receiver and favorite I have owned in past 20 years gets bruised by a frustrating minimum effort to allow marketing it has an "app".

Opened this app on a new phone because I got a speaker to use for work. The app seemingly refuses to acknowledge that I've added the speaker, automatically or manually, and the troubleshooting link doesn't work. it just keeps telling me to check my internet connection, doesn't matter if my VPN is active or disconnected. Aside from that, it probably works how it did a year ago, which was good, but I can't truly tell until this speaker connects.

This app used to be great. There was an update about a year ago and ever since then it will not connect via Bluetooth. I reached out to Sony support several times and they were no help. They even sent me up to tier two support. They were no help either. I also tried different phones It's not the phones it's the app. I have to manually connect every time. I'm actually thinking since this app doesn't work well anymore I'm just going to remove it from my phone and just use another music app.
