À propos de l'application

Stack My Trails reads your workout routes from Health Connect and stacks them on a single map, creating a beautiful heatmap-like visualization. Record workouts in the app, import and export GPX files, or draw your own GPS art by placing waypoints.

See all your runs, walks, hikes, and cycling routes layered together. Discover your favorite paths, explore patterns in your training, and turn your routes into art.

No subscriptions, no accounts, no cloud. Your data stays on your device.

YOUR DATA, YOUR DEVICE

Stack My Trails stores everything locally on your device. No accounts, no servers, no tracking. Your workout data is yours. Network requests are limited to a geocoding service during import (to convert coordinates into place names) and, when using route drawing with your own API key, to OpenRouteService (to compute walking routes between waypoints).

ABOUT HEALTH CONNECT ROUTES

Stack My Trails requires workout routes with GPS coordinates. Many fitness apps save only basic workout data (duration, calories) to Health Connect without GPS routes. Before importing, check that your fitness app actually records exercise routes to Health Connect — look for route data in the Health Connect app under Exercise Sessions.

If your fitness app doesn't save routes to Health Connect, use Stack My Trails' built-in recording to track your runs, walks, rides, and hikes directly. Recorded routes are saved to Health Connect so they're available across all your health apps.

ROUTE DRAWING

Stack My Trails includes a route drawing tool — long-press on the map to place waypoints and create walking routes. Route drawing uses the OpenRouteService Directions API to compute walking paths between your waypoints. This requires a free API key from openrouteservice.org (no credit card needed). Enter your key in Settings to enable routed paths. Without a key, the drawing tool still works but connects points with straight lines instead of walking routes.

When you use route drawing with an API key, only the waypoint coordinates are sent to OpenRouteService to calculate the route. No other data is transmitted.

REQUIREMENTS

• Android 14 (API level 34) or later
• Health Connect app installed
• Workouts must have GPS route data in Health Connect (check your fitness app's Health Connect integration)
• Location access is used for trail recording and optionally to show your position on the map
