About this game
Flags of the World is a flags and capitals quiz for your phone, in portrait mode, with no internet needed. The cartographers of Aelwyn keep the atlas of the world inside a giant tree: recognize the flags, remember the capitals and bring each continent back to the atlas.
194 COUNTRIES
• The 193 United Nations member states plus Vatican City, each with its official flag.
• Country and capital names in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
• Three levels: easy (the best-known countries), medium and hard (all of them, with look-alike flags among the choices, such as Chad and Romania or Indonesia and Monaco).
SIX MODES
• Flag → country: see the flag and pick the country.
• Country → flag: see the name and find the right flag among four.
• Capitals: what is the capital of this country?
• Time attack: 60 seconds of mixed questions; each miss costs 3 seconds.
• Survival: 3 lives, go as far as you can.
• By continent: 12 questions from a single continent (Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia or Oceania).
ANSWER BY TYPING
• In the flag and capital modes you can choose to type your answer instead of tapping a choice.
• The game accepts names without accents, in any of the three languages and with small typos ("Holland" works for the Netherlands, "Peking" or "Beijing" for the capital of China).
CAMPAIGN: THE ATLAS OF AELWYN
• 5 stages, one per continent, each guarded by a cartographer.
• Earn 1 to 3 stars: 3 with no mistakes, 2 with one, 1 for finishing. Every new star pays coins.
• From Africa on, the Roots rule kicks in: a streak of right answers grows a root that shields you from one mistake.
• In Oceania, Queen Seralie locks the helps from the 9th question on.
TWO HELPS
• 50/50: removes two wrong answers (when typing, it shows the two that are left).
• Skip: swaps the question for another one.
• Each help is free once per game. To use it again, spend 10 coins or watch an optional ad.
WHAT YOU GET
• A 3-step tutorial and records for each mode.
• When you miss, the results screen lists the flags to review with the right answer.
• You start with 30 coins to try the extra helps.
• Play offline, no internet. No sign-up and no login: just open and play.
• Ads never interrupt a question: only now and then when leaving the results screen, plus optional ads for coins or helps. No purchases in this version.
• Interface in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Optional sound and vibration.
