Chess: Legends is real chess, with every rule, set in Carnmoor: a gothic castle of candles, stained glass and marble where Count Valerian's court has been playing for three hundred years. Climb the castle tower and face five opponents, from a distracted apprentice to the Count himself.

FULL RULES
• Castling, en passant and promotion with your choice of piece (queen, rook, bishop or knight).
• Check, checkmate and stalemate.
• Draws by the 50-move rule, threefold repetition and insufficient material.
• Optional clock in quick games and two-player mode (5 or 10 minutes per side).

THE TOWER OF CARNMOOR
Five stages, five levels of artificial intelligence:
• Bram the Bell-Ringer (level 1): an apprentice who makes mistakes on purpose, perfect for beginners.
• Sister Odile (level 2): patient, but still stumbles.
• Sir Lucan (level 3): attacks head-on and punishes your mistakes.
• Madame Séverine (level 4): calculates deep and sets traps.
• Count Valerian (level 5): the strongest player in the castle.
Win or draw to climb. Earn 1 to 3 stars per victory: no undo and no hint is worth 3 stars.

MODES
• Campaign with 5 stages, coins and stars.
• Quick game against any of the 5 levels, as White, as Black or at random.
• Two players on one device, with a button to flip the board.
• Undo: 2 free per game, then it costs coins (always free in two-player mode).
• Hint: shows the best move the engine found.
• The game in progress is saved: close the app and continue later.

WHAT YOU GET
• A big board with marble squares and bone and crimson-obsidian pieces, easy to tell apart by color, outline and symbol (rose or bat).
• The squares a piece can reach light up (you can turn this off in Settings).
• Last move and check highlighted on the board.
• Tap to select and tap to move, or drag the piece.
• The AI thinks in the background: the screen never freezes.
• Play offline, anytime. No internet needed.
• No sign-up and no login: open and play.
• Ads never interrupt a game: only now and then between games, plus an optional ad to earn coins. No purchases in this version.
• Available in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
