About this app

Blip is a free app for BrightHR customers. It lets you easily track your employees’ work hours and locations on the go. Here’s how it works:


Geolocation

Use the app to create a geofence—a virtual boundary—around your workplace. Then, when your employees enter or leave the geofence, Blip picks up their location and asks them to clock in or out, helping you to know exactly where your staff have worked and how long for.


QR codes

Alternatively, you can use Blip’s smart scanning system to record your employees’ work hours instead.

Your staff use Blip to scan a QR code—a type of barcode—when they arrive and leave work. Then, each time they scan the code, Blip will register them as clocked in or out. It’s that simple.


Breaks

Blip makes it easy to track breaks, too. At the tap of a button, your staff can log the start and end of their breaks, so you can see how long and how often they take downtime.

- Change an incorrect shift or break time in a few quick taps.

- Create multiple locations and easily track where your employees have worked.

- View a full history of an employee’s work hours and filter the date range easily.

- Export the work history for an individual or team and save it as a spreadsheet for your records.

what a garbage app. It runs in the background, drains your battery and tracks you with GPS, hitting multiple job sites in a day a nightmare. it takes away time that should be spent working. There are such better, less invasive apps than this that could handle all the aspects of construction job sites hot garbage! shame on my company.. edit: the fallout; the app has seen 12 guys or 10% moving to competitor companies, and morale is at an all time low. look into an app ike Procore or a gps spoofer

A shared dashboard version would be great for businesses where there is a no phone policy. A communal tablet (perhaps on the wall next to the exit) where staff could click their name, enter a pin / password and then click sign in / out. Other rota / clocking apps have this functionality so it'd be good to see it available for Blip! users. The app as it stands doesn't really work for us right now. Still no development on this front. Used Deputy Kiosk + RotaCloud Terminal before. Both much better

This app is constantly giving me a hard time, and between it refusing to let me clock in at one of my workplaces to the app insisting that my location services are off, there's no winning. It's incredibly frustrating, but I have no choice but to use it. Please fix this. This app has more negative reviews than positive, it's a wonder any one uses this garbage.
