About this app

SID3KICK records what you say, writes it down, and makes sense of it — no account, no server of ours, and no audio leaving your phone unless you set it up that way.

Tap the mic when you want a transcript. Or switch on Life Assist and let it listen in the background — screen off, app closed — waking only when it hears speech. Every capture is transcribed, summarized, mined for to-dos and calendar events, and rolled into a daily digest you can actually read. Then ask it questions about any of it.

CAPTURE
• One-tap recording, or hands-free Life Assist with voice detection that finds the speech and skips the silence
• A floating record button you can drag over any other app
• Photos and video clips attach to the recording in progress — photos never go to any AI, and only a video's audio track is processed
• Location tagging you control: off, country-level only (coordinates blurred to ~1 km), or precise, which pins each capture on an OpenStreetMap view

TRANSCRIBE — YOUR PICK
• On-device recognition in 14 languages: one model download, then no network and no API bill. Some newer devices can't load it; the app says so and cloud covers it
• Or cloud transcription with your own OpenAI key when accuracy matters

UNDERSTAND
• A written summary of every capture, plus action items pulled from what was said
• Dates and appointments become one-tap events in your device's own calendar — no sign-in
• Optional speaker separation when several people are talking
• Daily digest: one readable page per day, on a schedule you set or on demand
• Ask: free-form questions across everything you have ever captured, with when and where attached, so "what did I promise Dave last week?" gets a straight answer

YOUR AI, YOUR KEYS
• OpenAI, Anthropic, or anything that speaks the OpenAI chat-completions API — including Ollama or LM Studio on your own machine, which costs electricity, not credits
• A cost tracker logs every call — provider, model, tokens, audio seconds, dollars — with an editable price table. Local engines log $0

YOUR DATA, YOUR CLOUD
• Archive processed audio to your own Dropbox app folder or Google Drive
• Sync transcripts, summaries, to-dos and digests across your devices via your own Dropbox, Google Drive or FTP. Raw audio never syncs
• Mirror your to-dos to a Google Tasks list — new items are created there, ticking one off completes it on both sides
• All of it runs on an access token you paste in yourself; an expired token needs re-pasting
• Auto-prune clears analyzed audio past the age you set; with cloud archive on, it waits until a recording is uploaded first

WHERE YOUR DATA GOES
No SID3KICK account, no SID3KICK server, no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, no ads, no tracking. Recordings, transcripts and summaries live in the app's own storage on your phone. Your data only reaches destinations you configure yourself, with your own credentials: your AI provider, your cloud storage. Keep transcription on-device, point the AI at a model on your own hardware, and only the place-name lookup ever leaves the phone.

7-day free trial, then US$5.00/month or the local equivalent. One tier, every feature, cancel anytime in Google Play. The subscription pays for the app, not for AI usage: OpenAI and Anthropic bill your own account directly. A local model costs nothing.

BEFORE YOU RECORD ANYONE ELSE
Recording law varies. Some places require every participant's consent, others only yours. You are responsible for recording lawfully wherever you are. Phone calls only capture what the mic can hear — speakerphone works, a normal earpiece call largely does not.
