LipidWise is a clinical tool designed for physicians that allows them to estimate a patient's cardiovascular risk and accurately guide the most appropriate lipid-lowering treatment according to current guidelines.

📊 Based on the 2021 ESC guidelines for cardiovascular prevention and the 2024 consensus on lipid-lowering treatment, LipidWise allows them to:

• Calculate 10-year cardiovascular risk using the official SCORE2, SCORE2-OP (for patients over 70 years of age), and SCORE2-DM (for patients with diabetes mellitus) models.

• Record whether the patient is already on lipid-lowering treatment, indicating the drugs used.

• Estimate theoretical baseline LDL cholesterol by applying inverse regression formulas based on validated reduction percentages.

• Identify the minimum therapeutic step necessary to achieve LDL-C goals based on the calculated risk.

• Guide the management of drug-naïve or follow-up patients in a clear, rapid, and personalized manner.
