1 Many (but not all) employers, government benefits providers, and other originators send direct deposits early with an effective date of 1-4 days later. Beginning with your second direct deposit of at least $5 from the same source, the Central Bank of Kansas City (CBKC) will post the funds to your Payactiv Visa Prepaid Card when we receive it, rather than on the effective date. This may result in your having access to the funds sooner. The date CBKC receives your direct deposit and the effective date are controlled by the originator.

Ratings and reviews

This is a great pay app to have if you can get it to work!! This app never opens there are several issues just trying to use the app. We have our hospital system on this for employees & we may need to find something else. To many complaints about never being able to use the feature. I myself have tried for over 2 weeks just to see; you literally will have to try 5 or more times to log in, uninstall, turn phone on & off and you might get lucky it will open. That's not good for business.

When I first installed payactiv it took multiple months before it allowed me to actually use the app, and when it finally did start "working" it now takes multiple attempts to be able to log in, and some days it won't allow me to log in at all on the app. To make matters worse, the card you can get doesn't even work unless you have $5-$6 more on it than what you're trying to use it for, so you are forced to pull more money than you want just to use it (which they charge you for).

The worst app on the market. never loads. always have to put biometrics in several times. sometimes it just won't open at all. just loads and loads. good luck trying to ever check your account balance. half the time the payactiv card declines when there's funds on it. dont open an account or even attempt the app. waste of time.
